| OTHER NOTES |
| Released in September of 1997, Popheart came out a month
before the Please single. It carried the "Please"
title, however, also carried the subtitle "Popheart EP" making it look
like it was something more than a single. As time has gone on this has
become rarer, and it is obvious it is not being kept in print by the record
label in all regions, so indeed it could be considered the second part
of the Please single as many have suggested it should be.
Released as U2 was heading back to North America for the third leg of
the worldwide Popmart tour, this EP presented four songs recorded live
during earlier legs of the tour. Three tracks were recorded in Rotterdam
in July of 1997, and a single track, "With or Without You" was recorded
live in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada in June of 1997.
In the US, the Popheart tracks were released as part of the US single
for Please. Only in other areas was it released
with the Popheart cover. |
