It looks like the filming of Crazy Tonight at Barcelona 2 may have actually been for BlackBerry’s new television commercial rather than for the upcoming promotional video. Now let’s see, a new U2 single in a TV ad for a handheld gadget; where have I seen this before?

Masterbeat.com really seems to be getting the scoop on U2 remixes lately. Available now are the Dirty South remixes of I’ll Go Crazy If I Don’t Go Crazy Tonight and an exclusive remix of Magnificent by Richard Vission.

Crazy Tonight Gets Official

U2.com is now officially reporting that I’ll Go Crazy If I Don’t Go Crazy Tonight will be the third single from No Line On The Horizon. The single is due August 17 with a video by Irish director David O’Reilly. There is no current information on which mix will be used for the single or what formats it will be released in.

Crazy Tonight - Dirty South Mixes to Radio

I’ll Go Crazy If I Don’t Go Crazy Tonight was pushed to radio on June 12 in the form of two mixes by Australian DJ Dirty South, a full house mix and a radio mix. It appears for now that the radio mix is intended as the “single” version of this track, as it is today’s Radio Express’ Radioplay Pick of the Day in the Dance, Euro, and Rock formats. It will be interesting to see what ends up on the commercial single. Join the discussion in our forums.

~~By all accounts it appears that the Magnificent US CD single will contain only the five remixes that are already available on iTunes~~. It’s odd that the day before release we still don’t have a confirmed tracklist or even a mention from U2.com or Interscope. For those of you looking to buy the dub mixes and Redanka’s 180 Mix without dropping a Benjamin on a promo CD-R, head on over to Masterbeat.com for all of that and more. Update: Doh! I stand corrected. Early copies showing up on eBay indeed have ten tracks.
