UPDATED: Before you rush out and buy that Angélique Kidjo album, be aware that the version already released in the UK contains a different version (3:45) of Move On Up, a duet featuring Kidjo and John Legend, sans Bono. According to the label site, the track featuring Bono will appear on the US release, now scheduled to drop on April 6.

Angelique Kidjo’s new album OYO includes a song called “Move on Up” which MAY feature Bono and John Legend alongside Kidjo. One version of the track is 3:13 and features Bono prominently. The track can be heard at Kidjo’s site, www.kidjo.com - there is an audio player there which will allow you to stream the track. iTunes lists a March 30, 2010 release date in the US. The UK release arrived in January, and did not include the track with Bono, but rather just featured John Legend as a guest. [Please see next story for more information]

Bono On We Are The World Remake?

UPDATED: MTV initially reported that Bono had signed on to participate in Quincy Jones’ remake of We Are The World. However, there is no mention of Bono having been at the taping in New York City this Monday. Some outlets are reporting that a few artists will be contributing to the effort remotely, but did not specifically mention Bono. The song and video are set to premier on NBC on February 12 during the opening ceremonies of the Vancouver Winter Olympics.

Hope For Haiti Now #1 On Billboard 200

Rolling Stone reports that the charity collaboration between Bono, Jay-Z, and Rihanna will be titled Stranded (Haiti Mon Amour). As previously reported, the track is being produced by Bono’s drinking buddy Swizz Beatz. UPDATED: The track is now up on iTunes. It’s an instant download when you pre-order the Help For Haiti Now live album.
