| The 2001 tour generated two different official tour books.
The two versions are from the first North American leg, and the second
European leg respectively. The third leg of the tour presented the second
leg tour book for sale. These books were approximately album sized.
Each contained 36 pages and contained an additional two page sticker spread
in the middle of the tour guide. The only differences between the
two editions released are differing photos. The European version
from the second leg actually uses live pictures from the first leg, and
less promotional shots of the band. Obviously these would not have
been available for the first leg when the book was going to press.
These official tour books were designed by Four5One Design, and were
published by Hill Shorter in the UK.
The third version of the tour book is an unofficial produced book, but
was on sale from some vendors at the Slane concerts. This book is
20 pages in length and has a very unofficial look to it. Mismatched
print types, lack of credits, and poor quality photos tell the tale, it
wasn't produced by U2. However it was a nice souvenir of the Slane
concerts for any that were present. |
