| I Will Follow was first released as a single
from the album Boy in 1980. A live
single was released in 1982. This was the third distinct release
of I Will Follow. This single was used to promote the mini EP Under
a Blood Red Sky in the US upon it's release. The success of that
live EP and this single in the US helped cement U2's hold on US listeners.
I Will Follow continues to be a live favorite and has seen more recent
releases on Hasta La Vista Baby (Mexico 1997),
the
Elevation single (New York 2000) and the
Best
Buy Promo CD (Boston 2001) |

There appears to be two versions of this single, differentiated by the
markings on the label of the vinyl. Although identical in every other way
the reference number differs on the two versions. The first reads
ST-IL-45782-AR, and the second has the letters SP at the end of the series. |
