This 15 track collection was compiled exlusively for MOJO magazine by Bono, The Edge, Adam Clayton and Larry Mullen Jr as they kickstarted the Vertigo World Tour in the US of A during April 2005.  The band got together and hand-picked a series of 30 tunes past and present, reflecting their influences and current favorites.  This tracklisting was culled from that initial list and sequenced by U2.

In the July 2005 issue of MOJO magazine a special was done on the Vertigo tour.  The issue of the magazine featured a free CD attached to the front which contained a mix of music compiled by the members of U2.  This CD included current favorites of the band such as "Wake Up" which is being used to open each Vertigo show, and as well contains older songs from the 80s which inspired U2 along the way.  To my knowledge, it's the only time we've ever gotten a "mixed tape" from the band itself outside of the tracks picked for the online broadcast of U2 radio earlier in the decade.
